Fine Dining Host

Position Overview: As a Fine Dining Host at Bites & Bubbles, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your warm and welcoming demeanor, exceptional organizational skills, and attention to detail will ensure that guests receive excellent service from the moment they enter the restaurant.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  1. Guest Greeting: Welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. Escort guests to their tables, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their dining experience.

  2. Reservations Management: Effectively manage restaurant reservations in OpenTable, ensuring accurate recording of guest information, special requests, and preferences. Coordinate with the restaurant team to optimize seating arrangements and accommodate guest needs.

  3. Seating and Table Assignments: Efficiently organize and allocate available tables, taking into account table configurations, reservation timing, and guest preferences. Maintain an organized seating chart to maximize seating capacity and ensure smooth table turnover.

  4. Guest Assistance: Proactively attend to guests' needs, including umbrella check, providing menus, answering questions about the restaurant and menu offerings, and offering recommendations based on guest preferences.

  5. Queue Management: Manage the waiting list during peak periods, accurately estimating wait times and communicating them to guests. Keep guests informed of the status of their table and offer alternatives, such as seating at the bar or rooftop lounge area, if available.

  6. Communication Liaison: Serve as a communication hub between guests and the restaurant team. Relay guest requests, special instructions, or dietary restrictions to the appropriate personnel, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery.

  7. Reservation Confirmation and Follow-Up: Confirm reservations in advance, either by phone or email, ensuring accuracy of details and availability. Follow up with guests after their visit, expressing gratitude and requesting feedback to enhance future guest experiences.

  8. Reservation System Management: Proficiently operate the reservation system (OpenTable) to update and maintain guest information, reservation statuses, and table assignments. Regularly review and manage the reservation database to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.

  9. Guest Relations: Foster positive relationships with guests, anticipating their needs, and providing personalized service to enhance their dining experience. Handle guest complaints or concerns diplomatically and promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary.

  10. Front Desk Operations: Maintain a clean and organized host stand, including managing reservations books, menus, and promotional materials. Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure efficient communication and adherence to seating protocols.



  • Previous experience as a host/hostess in a fine dining or upscale restaurant is preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries effectively.

  • Proficiency in reservation management software or systems.

  • Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and ability to provide basic information about the restaurant's offerings and menu items.

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and composure.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized seating chart and reservation database.

  • A positive attitude, team player mentality, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
